DIRECTOR OF FINANCE WORK BLOG - 26th POST

From my WORK BLOG... (that has now been read more than 550 times!)

Today, I did something different. I started a self-review of my work based on what I am required to do as the Director of Finance under the KSA bylaws and regulations.

This is not a new idea of mine. I started doing this when I was the Richmond Campus Director - examining what our campus council was doing right and wrong as per what the bylaws and regulations require us to do. I talk more about the process on page one of this wonderful adventure.

Please note that this document is still a draft. I have not finished examining all of the regulations applicable to my portfolio.

There is also one bylaw section where I state "I submitted reports to the following meetings:" or "I attended the following meetings:" and "I missed the following meetings:" but there are no dates posted yet. I'll look the dates up at some point in the future, but not today.

Overall, I found the process to be eye opening. I knew I was hitting the mark with most things, but there are gaps and areas that need more attention.
